TryPing for Windows

Remember the “ping” command that we used to use in DOS?  Well, TryPing for Windows is simply a GUI program that, in all essentials, performs exactly the same command!

How does it work?  Well, it can’t work without input from you, the user!  How do you make it work?  Just follow a few simple steps:

1. Be sure you have a live Internet connection.  (If you’re not connected, TryPing will know!)

2. Into the provided text box, type the IP or Web address to which you want to send a “ping” packet.

3. Click the Ping button to test the site’s availability.

4. TryPing will notify you whether or not the site you entered is receiving your pings.

Please bear in mind that just because pings fail does not mean the site’s not there.  If a ping test fails on a certain site, but you know that site is there, then that site is not allowing its servers to be pinged.
